Wedding Ring Size after Acromegaly surgery

My wedding ring has become smaller! A few months after having transphenoidal surgery for my acromegaly I notice that my wedding ring had become very loose. As I was not sure how my fingers would change over time, or whether I was in remission or not I put away my wedding ring and wore a cheap stainless steel ring. Naturally, I have to fend off the women somehow.

I have thankfully continued to be in remission of acromegaly, due to the brilliant surgery by Mr Kanna Gnanalingham and God’s hand so we thought it about time we dust off the wedding ring to get it shrunk. To our amazement, my ring finger size had dropped from a “Z+1” to a “V”. The ring sizing letters didn’t mean a great deal to us, but looking at the ring sizes on the ‘ring sizer thing’ at the jewelers is quite dramatic.

The gold ring is my actual wedding ring, the dull ring is a sizing ring. Size dropped from 'Z+1' to a 'V' after acromegaly surgery.
